3D Secure 2 via Spreedly
You’re probably already aware of the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) of the European Union. A major component of this PSD2 is the requirement for Secure Customer Authentication, served by 3D Secure 2.
For general PSD2 Compliance information, please visit Spreedly's PSD2 Compliance Guide.

Who should update?
Update your payment integration for SCA if all of the following apply:
- Your business is based in the European Economic Area (EEA) or you create payments on behalf of connected accounts based in the EEA
- You serve customers in the EEA
- You accept cards (credit or debit)
How this impacts your business
To date, few European banks have started enforcing these requirements and declining non-authenticated payments. Nevertheless, we recommend SCA-impacted users prepare their payment flows to be SCA ready as soon as possible. This will help prevent an increase in declines as enforcement of these requirements ramps across European banks.
How this helps your business
Liability shift with frictionless flow for 3D Secure v2 (3DS2)
Liability shift occurs when the payment gateway attempts 3D Secure authentication, the customer authenticates, and that information is transmitted to the card issuing bank. In this case, the bank is liable for any fraudulent type claims filed, if there are no exemptions in place.
What do I have to do?
You can now update your Gray Line Licensee site to use the new Spreedly 3D Secure - TourCMS payment processing integration.
Login to your website, search for "dojo tourcms" > "settings"
Scroll down until you see Payment Gateway area. Check the box "Enable 3D Secure".
Note: You may need to reach out to your payment gateway to enable 3DS2 / 3DS1 as this may not be enabled by default.
Spreedly Supported Gateways
Please make sure your gateway is supported for 3D Secure processing by Spreedly. If in doubt, ask your payment gateway directly.

NOTE: enabling 3DS on your website when your payment gateway is listed as being in alpha / beta mode could cause your checkout to fail, please beware.
Once this is enabled we also recommend you test a live payment on your checkout with a 3DS enrolled card to ensure there are no processing issues. If there are, please disable this functionality and send a support ticket to support@palisis.com detailing what happened.
