What does it mean?

In WordPress, a Page is a fundamental type of content, designed for static, timeless information on your website. Unlike "Posts" (which are typically used for blog articles and appear in chronological order), Pages are ideal for content that doesn't change frequently, such as your "About us" section, "Contact" page, "Privacy policy," or indeed, a dedicated page explaining your "Promotions" or "How to use a promo code." They can be organised hierarchically (with parent and child pages) and are typically found in your website's main navigation menu.

In the WordPress backend, the Pages section is where you can manage all your website's published pages and drafts, such as the Terms and Conditions page. It's important to name your pages clearly and descriptively, as this will make it easier to locate them in the future using the search function. Properly organised page names ensure efficient content management.

What should I do?

How to create a page?

Please note that this section does not apply to tour pages, which should not be edited solely for SEO configuration.

To add a new page, you need to navigate to Pages > Add New Page. If you just want to edit an existing page, then go to Pages > edit the corresponding page.

When you create a Page, you'll choose a specific custom template already built for your needs. This template then takes your Page's content and displays it within its pre-defined structure, ensuring your branding and design are consistent. This means you manage your content and its presentation separately, offering flexibility and control over your site's appearance.

Please, note that when you add a new page, the “Default template” is preselected. According to this template, there are a few elements that can be configured and added to the page when using the ‘Default template’. Templates cannot be created, as we already provide a comprehensive set of templates designed to cover all the essential pages your website requires.

A selection of templates is available, and you can choose one based on the specific purpose of the new page you wish to create, for instance, the “Destination Holding Page”, “City Page” or “Default Template” among others.

Page settings

On the right-hand side, you'll find various settings, including the title, featured image, publish status, template and parent page.

i. Paragraph attributes – size, colour, background, font face, anchor tags, CSS 10

ii. Image attributes – Style (Square, Round), Alt text, Image size, etc. iii. Heading attributes, etc.

  1. Once the Page content and setup are complete, it can be previewed, saved as a draft, or published.

To add new blocks to the page, you need to click on the plus button on the top left side to view the block inserter section.

We do not recommend this, as adding new blocks to the page would deviate from the original template design.
