What does it mean?

This guide explains the functionality of the Tour Search page on your WordPress website and how to effectively manage its content and display options.

The Tour Search page is the dynamic interface on your website that displays a list of available tours. This page is activated when a user performs a search from the search bar, selects a specific keyword, or navigates to the tours section associated with a particular destination.

This page inherently utilises the “Tour search page” template, which controls its overall layout and functionality.

Data Source: Tour data, including tour details, images, and availability, is pulled periodically via the TourCMS API. For more in-depth information regarding the synchronisation and management of tour data, please refer to our dedicated 'Tours' section.

What should I do?

To manage the content and display of your Tour Search page, follow these instructions:

Accessing and basic functionality

  • Page access: The Tour Search page is a standard WordPress page and can be found and edited via 'Pages' in your WordPress backend.

  • Filtering and sorting: On the live Tour Search page, users can typically filter results by category, sort tours using various options (e.g., by price, popularity, or duration), and adjust the number of results displayed per page.

Editing content and layout within the WordPress editor

  • Yoast SEO: For comprehensive guidance on optimising this page for search engines, please visit our dedicated section: 'How to configure SEO for pages?'.
  • Tour Search Keyword & Title: This section controls how the list of tours is generated and displayed. There are three distinct methods for listing tours, allowing you to tailor the results:
