Where can I find it?

What does it mean?
In WordPress, an Info page (short for "information page") is a static content page designed to provide visitors with specific, detailed information that doesn't fit neatly into a blog post or a standard "About Us" or "Contact" section. Unlike chronological blog posts, Info pages present evergreen content that remains relevant over time. They are highly versatile and commonly used for purposes such as:
- Explaining promotions and how to use them.
- Providing detailed "how-to" guides.
- Outlining terms and conditions.
- Sharing shipping or return policies.
Essentially, an Info page serves as a dedicated resource where your customers can find answers to specific questions or learn more about a particular aspect of your business, product, or service.
What should I do?
Creating a new Info Page
Creating an effective information page starts with a compelling visual and clear content. Here's how to build one, step by step:
- To get started, navigate to Pages in your WordPress dashboard and click Add Page to create a new page:
- The Default Template is selected by default every time a new page is created, we recommend to use the ‘Full-width’ template for your Info Page as a starting point, and then you can customise it.
- Define your page structure: Begin by adding your main page title and any important sub-headings to organize your content.
-
Add a full-width visual hero. To make a strong first impression, set a featured image that spans the full width of your page.
Find the "Featured Image" section in the right sidebar of your editor. Click to upload a new image or select one from your existing Media Library. This image will serve as a prominent hero section for your page.
- Visualize your layout: It's a good practice to "Save Draft" and "Preview" your page at this stage. This lets you confirm the featured image is displayed correctly and full-width before adding more content.
-
Populate with rich content using blocks:
a. Below your featured image, you can now add the detailed explanation for your promotion or information. Use the WordPress block editor to build your content. Click the + icon (top left) or type / within the editor to browse available blocks.
b. Blocks offer incredible flexibility for different content types (Paragraph, Heading, Image, List, Table, Custom HTML, etc.) and provide extensive styling options to make your text and media look great.
This is how the info page would look:
Template Alternatives:
If your theme doesn't offer a specific "full-width with header" template, consider using a 'Default template'. This often features a dedicated content area on the left where you can build your main body, while still allowing for a hero image and text within the header/sidebar area. Example:
