Where do I find it?
Configuration > System & setup > Voucher settings
What does it mean?
The new voucher design in TourCMS offers a cleaner, more modern layout that enhances the customer experience. Along with improved readability and individual QR codes for seamless guest management, we have introduced interactive maps.
Vouchers also include an invoice section if your specific account settings are enabled.
What should I do?
Note: Just a quick note to clarify: for all new accounts, the new voucher design is enabled by default and the voucher link is automatically available on the booking screen—no manual activation required! Only existing TourCMS accounts will need to manually enable these features.
To enable the new voucher design in TourCMS, follow these steps:
1. Go to Configuration > System & Setup > Voucher setttings.
2. Scroll down to the Voucher section.
3. At the bottom, you’ll find the Voucher Design setting with two options:
- Standard voucher design (default option) is the current version.
- New voucher design – Select this to switch to the updated version.
Choose the design you prefer and save your changes.
If you select the new voucher design:
- TourCMS will use the updated layout for all vouchers.
- The “Print voucher” button will directly generate the new design.
Like the standard version, the new design splits passengers by component. For example, if a booking includes two different rate types (e.g., adults and children), the voucher will display separate tickets for each, each with its own QR code.
If you select the standard design:
- TourCMS will continue to use the current layout.
- A new Preview voucher design link will appear on the booking page, allowing you to see how the new version looks.
Enhancing vouchers with interactive maps
You can now provide customers with a visual guide by enabling interactive maps on your vouchers. To activate this, navigate to Configuration > System & Setup > Voucher Settings and simply check the "Voucher Map Display" box within your voucher settings.
Once enabled, the map will appear directly under the ticket, using dynamic logic to show the most relevant location:
Bookings with pickups: The map will pinpoint the specific pickup location.
Bookings without pickups: Since every tour has a departure point, the map will default to the tour’s starting location.
Automatic quality control: To ensure accuracy, a map will only be displayed if valid geographic coordinates (geopoints) are detected. If coordinates are missing or invalid, the map remains hidden to avoid confusing the traveler.
Adding invoices or receipts
You can also choose to include a receipt page as part of the voucher document. To enable this:
Navigate to Configuration > System & Setup > Voucher Settings.
Select the option "Show receipt on voucher".
Voucher layout overview
Voucher header
- The channel logo appears on the top left.
- The Print button is located on the right.
- A side menu allows you to access each ticket within the voucher.
Booking details
Each booking component (adults, children, etc.) includes a unique QR code. The following details are shown:
- TourCMS booking ID.
- Tour name.
- Tour code| Product note.
- Departure details (date, start time, end time, number of customers, and pickup time if there is any pickup involved).
- Lead customer name
- TourCMS reference, booking date and time and customer email address.
Map section
In this case, there is no pickup on the booking, so the map displays only the starting point:
QR code section
1. Click here to zoom in on the QR code and open the modal window, where you can swipe between tickets. This is particularly useful on mobile phones.
2. QR code with the full TourCMS reference displayed underneath, ready to be scanned by a device.
3. Partner logo.
Side panel
If the booking was made by a partner, a side panel will appear below the QR code, containing the following information:
- Partner name and contact agent email address.
- Operator information, including channel name and contact email address.
Important information
- The voucher redemption instructions for this tour are shown here.
Mobile view
The corresponding ticket details will be shown when tapping on a ticket at the top of the screen.
There's a QR code expander/isolator and navigator feature that lets you jump directly to any QR code on the page. You can then swipe left or right, or use the mini tiles to navigate through the tickets – a very handy feature on mobile devices.
If the 'Named tickets' option is enabled for this ticket, the customer's name will also be displayed in the QR code window with the swipe interface. For more detailed information on this, please visit our support article. To see more about this, take a look at the next video.
