Hi! In this video, I will show you how to add a note to a booking. Sometimes staff need to make notes on a booking, for example, to leave instructions for their staff members. Notes will help keep track of any changes, cancellations, or other notes you are required to take.
How to Add a Note
So, in order to add a note, you need to go to the specific booking. You do that by going to Bookings, then clicking on Bookings again. I go to the Latest because I would like to add a note to the last booking I made, which was the Majestic Tour. As always, click on the eye icon under the Actions column.
Once you're on the booking page overview, you can see the booking notes at the end of every tab here. So, let's make a new note. By clicking here, you make this note visible to your suppliers. Then click on Record Note. The note is created. It will appear at the end of the tab where you made the note. You see it here.
Additionally, if you click on Advanced Note Entry, you can send an email to any staff member or lead customer. If you have already configured email templates in your Tour CMS account, then they will appear here. In my case, I only have the reminder template. Once you click here, it will be added automatically in the email body. You can also select here if you want to use your email signature. Also, if you want to make the note visible to suppliers, you can also add attachments and lastly, the channel.
Pinning a Note
You also have the option to pin the note to the booking by clicking here. This means whatever note you write, it will appear at the top of the booking page overview instead of at the end of the tab. Let's make an example. Then click on Update Pinned Note, and as you can see, it appears here instead of at the end of the tab.
