What does it mean?
In this article, we explain:
How to remove individual departures from a tour.
How to use the mass departure deletion tool to remove many departures at once based on specific conditions (date range, day of the week, no bookings, etc.).
To make this operation more reliable and to avoid long blocking requests, the deletion is processed in the background instead of being completed immediately in a single request.
What should I do?
Individual departures deletion
If you want to delete a single departure, click the delete icon next to that departure.
A pop-up window will open asking you to confirm, as this action cannot be undone.
Important: You cannot delete a departure if it has bookings. In that case, the delete icon will appear greyed out.
Mass departures deletion
To delete many departures at once that match certain conditions, use the Mass Departure Deletion tool at the bottom of the page.
This allows you to efficiently clean up departures you no longer need.
It’s possible to delete departures according to different conditions:
-
All departures with no bookings
Use this option if you want to start from scratch with your departures.Example:
You created departures for the whole year for testing purposes and now want to remove everything and build the schedule again properly.Select “All departures with no bookings”.
The system will delete every departure that has no bookings at all, regardless of date or time.
Departures that already have bookings will remain.
-
Departures with no bookings within a date range
Use this if you only want to clear a specific period (e.g. a season or a month).Example:
You planned to operate your “City Tour” in January and February, but you decide to cancel all January departures that have no bookings.Set the date range from 01/01/202X to 31/01/202X.
Select “Departures with no bookings within a date range”.
The system will delete only the January departures with no bookings.
February departures or any January departure with existing bookings will not be deleted.
-
Departures on specific days of the week, with no bookings, within a date range
Use this if you want to remove, for example, all weekend departures or a particular weekday during a period.Example 1 – Remove all weekend departures without bookings in summer:
You decide to stop running your tour on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August, but keep weekdays.Set the date range from 01/07/202X to 31/08/202X.
Choose the days of the week: Saturday and Sunday.
Select “Departures of a day of the week, with no bookings within a range”.
The system will delete only the weekend departures in that range that have no bookings.
Weekday departures and any weekend departure with existing bookings will remain.
Example 2 – Adjust specific weekday patterns:
You have daily departures but decide to run the tour only on Fridays during the low season in November.Set the date range from 01/11/202X to 30/11/202X.
Choose the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday.
Select “Departures of a day of the week, with no bookings within a range”.
The system will delete departures on those selected days with no bookings, keeping only Friday departures and any departure with existing bookings.
Note: As in the case of individual deletion, departures cannot have bookings to be eligible for massive deletion. Any departure with at least one booking will not be deleted.
Good to know
Restrictions and limitations
While a mass departure deletion is in progress, departure management for that tour is temporarily locked.
During that time, the user is not allowed to:
Create new departures
Edit existing departures
Delete departures manually
This restriction prevents conflicting actions while the background process is still running and ensures the departure data remains consistent throughout the operation.
Once the process finishes, the UI re-enables those actions automatically.
