Where do I find it?
PRODUCTS > TOURS > SETUP > TIMES / CUTOFFS
What does it mean?
The Booking window is a feature that allows you to restrict the availability retrieved for a specific tour to a predefined timeframe. By setting a window, you control exactly how far in advance a customer or partner can view and book departures.
Note: If the Booking Window is enabled, any departures falling outside of this timeframe will be hidden, even if they are technically available in your calendar.
Typical use case: You may have departures scheduled for the entire year but wish to only display availability for the next 60 days from the current date. This feature automates that restriction.
What should I do?
To configure a booking window for your product, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to PRODUCTS > TOURS and select the relevant tour.
-
Go to SETUP > TIMES / CUTOFFS.
-
Locate the Booking Window field at the bottom. By default, this is set to Open.
-
Click the dropdown menu and select your desired value (e.g., 90 days). This allows bookings from today to the next 90 days. Finally, click Save changes.
To remove the booking window, simply select 'Open (Default)' from the dropdown menu. This will revert the setting to the default 'Open' status, removing all date restrictions.
Important configuration notes:
Unit of measure: Currently, the Booking Window is measured exclusively in days. Please ensure your desired timeframe is converted into days before saving.
-
API integration: The TourCMS API has been extended to respect these settings. The following calls will now automatically filter results based on your Max Booking Window:
Good to know
This feature is available only for tours, not hotels.
