In this short video, we're going to learn how to search—how to look for a customer here in TourCMS.
Searching for a Customer
It's a very easy procedure. You just have to go to the Customers tab, go to the Customers option, and by default, you will land on the search page here.
You can search for a customer in different ways:
- By name.
- By last name.
- By contact info, which could be an email address, telephone number, or a contact note, if you have contact notes in your customer records.
- Or by post or zip code.
That's pretty straightforward. You just enter the name of the customer here, and then you will get a list of all relevant customers. The same thing happens if you look for the last name; all customers with this last name will be listed here. The same thing with the email address, or also with the zip code, if you want to look up the customer by zip code.
You can limit the search a little bit if you select the Customer Type, so you can just get lead customers from bookings or inquiries, or you can look for customers who have a future or recent booking. So you could set these additional filters in case this list turns out to be very long.
From here, from these search results, you can directly go to Action:
- You can create a new booking here.
- You create a new inquiry.
- Or you can also enter the customer and edit the customer info again.
And that's pretty much it on how to search for a new customer here in TourCMS.
