In this video, we will explain you how to connect to OTAs.

Today, we're going to look at how to set up and sell your product on GetYourGuide via Tour CMS. Top OTAs have different guidelines and would like to make it easy for you when setting up your distribution channels.
Connecting to GetYourGuide
If you're not working with GetYourGuide yet, the first step is to sign up and set up a commercial agreement with the GetYourGuide team. The second step will be to create your products on both systems: Tour CMS back office and the GetYourGuide supplier portal, in order to establish a connection between them.
If you are an existing supplier on GetYourGuide, you can simply reach out to the representatives once the connection permissions are set up on the Tour CMS back office. To connect your GetYourGuide product to your Tour CMS account, you need to give them access to the list of products and the relevant information via API.
To do that, you would go to Home Page > Partners > Marketplace Agents, and you would then type in the name of the agent you would like to connect with—in this case, that's GetYourGuide. Under the Verified button, you can see the account of major OTAs that we have verified for you, and which account you need to connect to. If you click on the Not Connected, then it would again show you the same account, but it will also show you other existing accounts of the OTA on TourCMS. Make sure to double-check that you are connecting to the correct account.
If you click on Connect, it will take you to the next window, which actually does have a checklist helping you in the process of how to sign up with an OTA. Please ensure that the API is enabled for the channel in TourCMS that you would like to use for the connection.
If you click on the channel itself, you're going to see that you need to choose a few connection details. You can choose a commission scheme, which is up to you whether you'd like to use that within Tour CMS or not. You could choose a net rate if that's actually applicable with a specific agent. And the most important section is what we call Connection Permissions. Here, you would need to choose option number three: Full Booking Details - Just a Notebooking Trusted Travel Agent. That makes sure that a booking coming in from GetYourGuide does not require a payment at the time the booking is made.
The next step would be simply to Create a Connection.
After Connection
Once this process is done, inform your GetYourGuide representative that the API connectivity is allowed with Tour CMS. It's helpful to share with them your Tour CMS channel ID, your account ID, plus any of the tour IDs that you would like to connect.
It takes a few days for GetYourGuide to connect the product in TourCMS. That's for existing products; it may take longer if the product has not been built on their website yet.
The last section would be to conduct the test booking on GetYourGuide and check that the proper booking flow (GetYourGuide to Tour CMS, your subsystem) is happening before you actually set the product live.
