Accessing Quantity-Based Pricing Settings
Let's look at an example. If we go to our tool, click on Setup, then click on the Rate Types tab. Here, we have two options: Multiple Rates (which is the default) and Quantity-Based Pricing, which is the option we will explain today.

Below that, we have another two different options: Price per Person and Price per One. Price per Person means we can define a different price for every person in the group. Price per One means we can define a single price for the entire group. If the rate type is Quantity-Based Pricing, we can configure different prices depending on the number of people in the group.

Setting Up Quantity-Based Prices
Let's see an example. If we now go to the Dates and Prices tab, where we create the prices, click on the One-Day Tour Activity Generator. Select the start date and season end date (let's say the end of this year).

Here, you can see the customer price from 1 to 10, which represents the maximum booking size. So, we can set it as follows: if only one person books this tour, the price will be £50 per person. If two people book, it will also be £50 per person. If three people book, the price will be £48 per person. This also applies if four or five people book. If six people book, the price will go down to £45 per person. If eight people book, the price will be £40 per person. If nine people book, it's £40 per person, and if ten people book, the price will be £38 per person. Then, click "Create Departures."

Visualising Quantity-Based Prices in the Booking Engine
Now we have all the prices configured here. To see a visual example, let's go to the booking engine. If we select, say, two people, the price will be £50 per person. However, if we select eight people, the price will be £40 per person, and if we book for ten people, the price will be £38 per person.

Setting Up Group-Based Pricing
We'll select "Quantity-Based Pricing" and "Price per One." This means the price will apply to the entire group, not just per person. After making this selection, click "Save Changes."

Defining Group Prices
Now, if we go to Dates and Prices to create our departures, we can set the pricing as follows:

For a booking of one person, the price will be £20.
If the booking is for two people, the total price will be £40 (£20 + £20).
However, if the booking is for three people, the third person will be free, so the total price will also be £40.
So, to reiterate: it's £20 for one person, £40 for two, and £40 for three because the third person is complimentary.
