What does it mean?

The TourCMS MailChimp integration can automatically add new customer information to a MailChimp list of your choice.

When a booking is made, and if the lead customer has their email preferences set to allow email (either by default or by opting-in), TourCMS will attempt to create a new entry on your MailChimp list. If the email address already exists, MailChimp will reject the update, ensuring any opt-outs remain in place.

This works on both free and paid MailChimp accounts.

Setup

Before you start, you will need two things:

  • A MailChimp API Key - You can generate a key just for TourCMS from within MailChimp
  • A MailChimp List ID - This can be found in the settings page for the List, usually a mixture of letters and numbers

Once you have those, contact Palisis support (support@palisis.com) to get started.

After our confirmation, you will need to do the following:

1. Connect the Marketplace Agent 35295 (PB - TourCMS Development Account). Any permission level is sufficient.

In order to connect, please head to Homepage > TourCMS Marketplace > TourCMS Marketplace agent search, click on the Agent name, select any permissions level, and click on “Create connection” for the corresponding channels.

2. Set the Booking notification webhook for the account to https://mp.tourcms.com/apps/mailchimp/in.php. Make sure to exclude any channels that are not connected to avoid error logs.
