Who hasn't had this experience? You haven't used an account for weeks and suddenly you can't remember your password. You do some trial and error but suddenly the system tells you that you're locked out for security reasons.
After 5 failed tries to log in, TourCMS automatically locks a user account to ensure the security of our client accounts. Unless a system administrator takes action this account will remain locked indefinitely.
Well, you came to the right place to solve this unfortunate situation!
There are two ways to solve this problem:
1st solution: The highest class of client user accounts are so-called "Account owners". Among many privileges, they have the ability to unlock your account again.
As you can see in the following screenshot, the first account has the status "LOCKED".
Luckily in this example, we have an account owner that is still unlocked. She can access your TourCMS account and go on the homepage to Configuration > Users. There she should see something like in the picture below. Now she can click on PERMISSIONS & MAIN SETUP to your user account settings:
There she has to do three steps to reactivate your account:
1st: She has to enter a provisional password for you. Please note that the requirements for any password in TourCMS are quite high. Therefore I use in most cases I myself use the "Suggest a new password"-generator.
2nd: Then she should tick the box "Email new password to the user" on. This simplifies your password retrieval immensely. The email you should look like this:
3rd: Finally he has to press "Save changes" at the bottom of the page.
In case you are locked out and the only account owner or just too shy to ask your boss for help with the retrieval of your password, we have another solution for you.
2nd solution: Click on "Reset your password" on the login page. You have to enter you account name and you user name and you will receive an email with the instructions.
