What does it mean?
Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB) is a transformative B2B digital platform that connects the entire tourism ecosystem, working in partnership with VisitBritain. It’s a reseller integration that is available to our partners in the UK.
This article explains the configuration required to set up this integration in the TourCMS backend. The integration takes the rates from TCMS, so no mapping is required.
What should I do?
1. Already working with TXGB? Skip this step. Otherwise, you can Complete your TXGB application here.
2. Establish a TourCMS marketplace connection to TXGB (Agent ID 56945) as a Trusted Travel agent. Please note you will need an invite code, which the TourCMS support team can provide.
3. Once connected, add any tours you wish to sell on TXGB to the white list.
4. Complete mapping set up on TourCMS. Please get in touch with support@palisis.com for instructions advising if you have completed the application on TXGB.
5. TXGB will then provide you access to your TXGB dashboard. Log into TXGB Dashboard and opt into distribution.
6. With the assistance of TXGB complete any additional mapping per distributor. The OTA channel ID will need to be provided to TXGB so they can set up your account on their system.
7. Conduct a test booking on TXGB.
Once configured, TXGB will start pulling tours from TourCMS overnight.
After that, you can see the status of tours on the partner page.
- Tours with an OK status will be on sale on TXGB
- Tours with an Alert status are not on sale on TXGB hover over the alert to see the issue
- Tours with a Timer status are being processed and will update to OK or Alert within 24 hours
Integration restrictions
Please note the following restrictions for this integration:
- The channel sale currency must be GBP. You can check it by going to CONFIGURATIONS > CHANNELS > Sale prices, deposits & booking fees.
- Only rate-type pricing is supported. TXGB does not support quantity pricing.
- TXGB currently supports only three rate types. The integration will look for adult and child rate types based on the TCMS age categories and then assign the next rate type as the third rate type in TXGB.
- Where a tour has multiple departures at the same time, the product notes need to be unique. This is because TXGB needs to split these into separate tours. For example, if we have a tour in TourCMS but have multiple languages, say English, Spanish, and German, then the integration will create 3 tours in TXGB, one for each language.
