Hi! In this video, I will show you how to set up the so-called Extra Tour Content Fields.
You might be wondering why we need this setting if TourCMS already provides us with so many options and configurations for very detailed tours. Well, there might be a little piece of information that you would like to provide to our WordPress plugin.
Setting Up Extra Tour Content Fields
The Extra Tour Content Fields can be set up by going to Configuration > System and Setup, and here under the Channel Products, click on Extra Tour Content Fields. Scroll down a bit, and here you can Create a New Tour Content Field.
Type a display name, then type a tag that defines the field in the database in the API, and then choose the type. The type could be:
- A single text line, which allows a maximum of 255 characters.
- It could be multi-line, which is a text field.
- Also, HTML Editor without layout, which means no layout, but allows tokens.
- And it could also be an HTML Editor with full layout, which means full layout and full HTML code.
For this video, I am going to create four different types of content fields for all four types that I just mentioned.
Okay, so now I've created all four, and you can see them displayed here. On the right side, under the Display column, you can decide if you want the field to be shown or hidden.
Setting Individual Values for a Tour
The next step would be to set individual values for a tour. You do that by going to Products, clicking on Tours, choosing the tour, and going to Description Images. And once you are there, go to Custom Fields. Here, the required individual information can be entered.
However, the custom data that you enter here will not be displayed in the editor page in WordPress. For this reason, it is important that if you wish to integrate the Extra Tour Content Field, you need to contact Palisis support.
