In this video, we will explain to you how to connect to Viator using the TourCMS marketplace.

Today, we will look at the process of connecting your TourCMS account with Viator.
Initial Setup with Viator
If you're not a Viator supplier yet, you can start the process by going to supplier.viator.com and clicking on the Get Started button. Make sure to enter "TourCMS" under the Reservation System section. Viator will review and apply as appropriate if they're interested in adding your product to Viator.
Whenever a commercial agreement is signed to distribute your products via Viator, you will also need to set up your product on the Viator supplier extranet. Once completed, contact your TourCMS support team advising that you wish to connect to Viator via TourCMS. If your TourCMS has multiple channels, please state which of those channels you would like to use for your Viator connection.
The TourCMS team will request your API key and Viator supplier ID from the Viator Sydney office. Once that's completed, the TourCMS team will advise you of an invite code, which you will then be able to enter within this field. Make sure to choose Trusted Travel Agent whenever you click on the Create Connection button.
Product Mapping
The next important step is mapping a product. To do that, you would go to Product, Tours, choose the tour that you would like to connect, go to Setup Operations and Suppliers here.
Now that you are connected to Viator's agent ID, you will see a field that's called Viator Mapping Code. This field is only visible when a connection between Viator's agent ID and your TourCMS account ID has been established.
The mapping code consists of two main parts:
- The TourCMS unique ID comes first.
- And the second part depends on how your departures are configured in TourCMS.
If you have a single departure per day, there is nothing to add. All you need is your unique ID to be copied into the Viator Mapping Code section, and then Save Changes below.
If your product has multiple departures a day with different start times, you would need to add |MAP_TIME at the end of the mapping code, and again, Save Changes.
If your tour has multiple departures a day with different supplier notes, you will need to add |MAP_SUPPLIER_OC_TO_SUPPLIER and again Save Changes below.
Finalizing the Connection
Wait a couple of minutes, go to the Viator extranet, and you will then be able to follow the procedure of connecting that specific product to TourCMS. To do that, you go to Manage Product Connection, Connect, select the product, the right product ID (the unique ID will be visible for you there), and click on Connect.
Start times in Viator will sync based on the start times in TourCMS, and your product will be fully connected. Repeat the same process for each product you wish to sell on Viator.
