In this video, we will explain to you how to modify the general settings of your tours.
Transcript
In this video, we are going to explain how to set up the general settings of your tours.
Please go to your Home Page, then click on Configuration, System and Setup. Again, click on Tours General Settings.
Default New Tour Settings
We can set here the Default Country for Newly Created Tours to your base of operations.
Tour Images: TourCMS by default requires pictures of quite a high quality, of at least 1500 pixels of width. This makes a lot of sense, as many OTAs will pull the pictures from your tours and display them on their own websites.
Product and Price Types
Here we can find more settings:
- Show Hotel Product Types: Click on hide unless your product type is hotels instead of tours. If you have questions about it, I invite you to read the article below.
- Show Costs: With this setting, it is possible to show the supplier costs for our tours provided by a supplier. However, this may not be very useful for high-volume day tours.
- Show Departures Languages: You can select the languages available on your tours, if you have, for example, tour guides who speak different languages. Nevertheless, you can also produce notes for every single departure. That is something you can do in the Dates and Price section. It would be necessary to select all the languages you operate tours in.
- Show Private Rate Fields: It would allow other downstream systems to hook the rates in between them. Please note that this setting is not necessary if you already work with Palaces' ticketing system.
Tour Departure
A tour departure can be in one of three states: Open, Ask First, and Closed. Here you can decide on the status of your tours. For example, if you select Ask First for the customer or the travel agents to ask you before making a booking.
Booking Availability Control
TourCMS can be set up to alert you when a tour has not reached the minimum numbers. This setting ensures that TourCMS takes into account the block value as sales have not yet been entered.
Once you have configured these settings, don't forget to click on Save Changes.
