In this video, we will explain you how to setup your booking engine.

Hello, in this video, I'm going to explain how to set up the booking engine. For that, we need to go to a specific channel by clicking on Configuration and Channels. You can configure and customise the booking engine differently for each channel. So first, you need to select the channel that you would like to edit; in my case, I will choose this one. Then go here to Step Number One. Here is the booking engine. There are different steps to configure the booking engine, but the first step is the booking engine master switch. Go there by clicking on Step Number One. This one should be in On in order to take on bookings, or Off if you only want to show availability. But if it's Off, then the booking engine will not be active and therefore won't be working. But because we would like to have online bookings, we keep it on On. In another video, we will explain how to set up the rest of the configuration to customise the booking engine, but the important thing here is to explain how to set it up. The second step is to go to Payments and Credit Cards, which you can find here in the left side under General Setup. Once you are there, please scroll down a bit until you see Online Booking Engine. Here, use it to select any option except Off. Why? Because if it's Off, then there will not be any payment integrating the booking engine, meaning if you can make a booking, but there won't be any payment integrated in the booking engine. So if you would like to take payments for your bookings, then you need to select one of the rest of the options. For example, show both deposit and full balance but height deposit if full payment due, or always show both deposit and full balance values, only ever show deposit value, or only ever show full balance value. In my case, I will select deposit if deposit due, full balance if full balance due. And as always, don't forget to save changes.
